PROJECT SATELLITE
SATELLITE NAVIGATION COMPONENT TROLLEY

CASE STUDY

1. BRIEF

Airbus needed to build 3 Satellites per year in order to keep the GPS navigation systems operational - time was of the essence!

2. CHALLENGES

To design a trolley to safely transport highly volatile chemical pipes with unusual shapes and patterns. Trolley to be 3000mm when transporting and extend to 6000mm when in use.

3. EXPERIENCE

"This project was a first for X-Treme to design and build a very special trolley to help Airbus improve on there efficiencies when building Satellites. What a privilege it was for X-Treme to be apart of the milestone in history" ~ PW

"This was an unusual brief with tight constraints and virtually impossible to design with the correct functionality. X-Treme Systems worked closely with us throughout the design process to achieve all what we wanted from the trolley, this trolley has now been in service for 2 years and still performing well."
